Who We Are

Since 1969, Mardag Foundation has invested in nonprofits serving the East Metro and Greater Minnesota.

Our Mission

Mardag Foundation supports Minnesota nonprofits to remove barriers and create opportunities for low income or traditionally marginalized children, youth and families; older adults with barriers to living independently; and to build capacity of organizations supporting the arts and humanities.

Reimagining Our Grant Programs

Throughout 2024 and 2025, we engaged in a community-informed process to redesign our application-based grant programs.

Our new grant programs and updated funding priorities take effect in 2026. Complete grant guidelines for our new grant programs will be available in November 2025, with the first grants made in 2026.

View the grant redesign hub on the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation website for more about our approach and answers to FAQs about the grant reimagining.
