Minnesota Philanthropy Partners is pleased to announce Chris Hilger as incoming board chair. Hilger is the president of Securian Financial Group, managing the company’s institutional products and services and previously served as MN Partner’s board vice chair. He succeeds Mary Brainerd, president and CEO of HealthPartners as board chair. In addition to new board leadership, MN Partners has also added three new members: Scott Burns, Dr. Joseph Lee and Michael Ott.
The Saint Paul Foundation, F. R. Bigelow Foundation and Mardag Foundation recently awarded more than $7.5 million to nonprofit organizations across the state. Organizations and programs that provide support and opportunities for women were among the 225 grantees.

On any given day in Saint Paul, there are at least 200 homeless youth on the street, which puts them at risk of sex-trafficking and other victimization. Of those, 70-80 stop by the SafeZone Drop-In Center downtown for a hot meal, a change of clothes, help finding a job or a place to live.
GiveMN, Minnesota’s online giving leader, has named Jake Blumberg as its executive director. Blumberg will lead the organization that has changed the face of giving in Minnesota. Sparked by its annual Give to the Max Day, GiveMN has helped raise more than $125 million for nonprofits and schools across Minnesota since 2009.
